SIGNAL
SIGNAL is a functional browser instrument that brings synthesis, sequencing, performance control and analyser feedback into one responsive interface.
A browser instrument has to keep sound generation, timed musical events and direct performance input responsive at the same time. SIGNAL treats those as one interactive system rather than a collection of disconnected demonstrations.
Performance gestures and sequenced events meet in a browser-audio engine, while a separate analysis path turns the resulting signal into visual feedback. Musical controls remain separate from live audio resources, so recalled settings configure the instrument without treating audio nodes themselves as persistent state.
Explicitly saved patch and performance configuration can be retained in client-side state without a separate desktop application. Audio starts only after an explicit user action; if startup is incomplete, partial resources are released so the instrument can be tried again from a clean state.
The complete standalone instrument remains the current original system. The TDA Play edition is a filtered public exhibit of that instrument, not a replacement for it.
