SIGNAL
A wavetable synth, drums, bass and an arp.
An instrument made
for the pleasure of playing it.
It started with wanting a synth on a phone at a friend’s house. The rest grew from wanting another part to play.

The instrument in use
Playing with the parts
A short excerpt from an exploratory session: several parts running together while the sound is shaped by hand. This is the instrument’s recorded audio, not a soundtrack added to the explanation.
A polished studio performance is planned for the finished Work. This development take is here to connect the mechanisms above to something you can hear.
Where it stands
SIGNAL is playable on the web. Its standalone surface and the synth module used in LOOM Works are distinct implementations of the work.
Still being worked on
Full project persistence, programmed automation and assignable controllers need more work. The drum section can be stronger. MIDI behavior and audio dropouts observed during local testing remain under investigation.
About this explanation
The diagrams illustrate the implementation; they are not live meters. Narration advances by chapter. Word-level alignment is pending.
